ABOUT ABOUT

Due to the requirement to ensure the safety, health, and well-being of our Marines and local communities as the COVID-19 Delta variant continues to affect the country, the Marine Band’s concert tour, scheduled for October 1-31, 2021, has officially been cancelled. The Marine Corps would like to thank our sponsors for the support, time, and resources that they have committed to the concerts and we look forward to resuming touring in October 2022.

Tickets available beginning Sept. 7, 2021 through the Odell Williamson Auditorium Box Office. Visit www.bccowa.com or call (910) 755-7416 for more information.

The Marine Band is America’s oldest continuously active professional musical organization. Founded in 1798, the band has performed for every U.S. President since John Adams. Known as “The President’s Own” since the days of Thomas Jefferson, the Marine Band’s primary mission is to provide music for the President of the United States and the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

In the style of the band’s 17th Director John Philip Sousa, who initiated the concert tour tradition in 1891, Marine Band Director Col. Jason K. Fettig has chosen a diverse mix of programs, from traditional band repertoire and marches to instrumental solos.

This concert is part of the 2021 U.S. Marine Band Concert Tour to the Southeast and is sponsored by Brunswick Community College. The concert is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are limited to 4 per request through the Odell Williamson Auditorium Box Office.
